About 3D Gravity Switch Puzzle

3D Gravity Switch Puzzle gives you one superpower and one problem: you can flip gravity, and every surface you can't land on is covered in lethal spikes. Each of the eight hand-crafted rooms is a short, contained puzzle — you can see the entire level at once. The challenge is figuring out which surfaces are safe to land on with gravity pointing down versus gravity pointing up, and in which order to flip so you can reach the spinning golden ring without touching anything red.

Pressing Space or G flips gravity instantly: the pull direction reverses, your vertical momentum resets to zero, and a color-coded ring pulse radiates outward from your position — cyan when gravity goes down, magenta when it goes up. When gravity is DOWN you stand on the tops of platforms; when gravity is UP you fall upward and hang from their undersides. Lethal platforms covered in glowing red spikes kill you regardless of which face you touch them from, so every puzzle is about reading the room — which surfaces are safe from above, which from below, and whether you can chain flips across intermediate platforms to thread through the hazards.

Eight levels ramp from a one-flip tutorial to a multi-step gauntlet that chains four gravity flips across two intermediate platforms. Your death count is tracked in the HUD and revealed on the win screen — a zero-death run is the real challenge, especially on the back half of the level set. No timers, no stamina bars, just clean spatial reasoning and the satisfying thud of landing exactly where you intended.

How to Play 3D Gravity Switch Puzzle

  1. Use A / D or Arrow Left / Right to move the golden sphere horizontally. The player slides with a small amount of friction — tap briefly to inch, hold to run across a platform.
  2. Press Space or G to flip gravity. The direction instantly reverses and your vertical speed resets to zero. You will begin falling toward whichever surface is now 'down'.
  3. Dark purple platforms are safe to land on from both sides. Red platforms covered in glowing spikes are lethal — touching them from any direction kills you and resets the current level.
  4. When gravity is DOWN (▼ shown in the corner) you stand on the tops of platforms. When gravity is UP (▲) you hang from the undersides. Intermediate floating platforms can be used as stepping stones from both sides.
  5. The spinning golden ring is your goal. Reach it to complete the level and advance. Eight levels must be cleared in sequence — each introduces a new wrinkle on the gravity mechanic.
  6. Press P or Escape to pause at any time. Deaths accumulate across all levels and are shown when you beat the game. Try for a zero-death run — the later levels require precise positioning before each flip.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I flip gravity while mid-air?

Yes, absolutely — most puzzles require it. You can flip gravity at any time, including while falling. The flip resets your vertical speed to zero so you always start accelerating in the new direction from a standstill, making mid-air flips very controllable and predictable.

What makes a platform lethal?

Any platform glowing red with visible spike cones is lethal from all directions — touching the top or the bottom kills you. Safe platforms are dark purple with no spikes. The color difference is unambiguous. Note that the room walls are safe (you slide along them) and falling completely out of the room also resets the level.

How many flips does each level require?

Levels 1–3 require one flip each. Levels 4–5 require two. Level 6 chains three flips across a staircase of platforms. Level 7 requires precise positioning for a single flip into a narrow safe window. Level 8 needs four well-timed flips and is the hardest level. You can flip extra times and survive — the stated counts are the minimum efficient path.

Is there a save system?

The game is designed as a 10–15 minute continuous session through all eight levels. There is no level-select or save between sessions — it always starts at Level 1. Only your total death count is tracked, shown on the win screen. Refreshing restores a clean state, perfect for attempting a zero-death run.

Can I play on mobile?

Yes — on touch devices, on-screen buttons appear below the game. Tap ← / → to move the sphere and tap Flip Gravity to reverse direction. All 8 levels are completable with these controls.
