3D Arcade Flight
About 3D Arcade Flight
3D Arcade Flight puts you in the cockpit of a propeller aircraft on a timed checkpoint run through open mountain terrain. Your goal: fly through all 20 glowing rings in the fastest time possible.
The flight model is arcade-tuned — bank left or right to turn, pull up to climb, push down to dive, and let go of the controls to level out automatically. Hold Shift to engage boost speed for the tightest sections. The chase camera tilts with your bank angle, making every sweeping turn feel cinematic.
Each ring pulses cyan when it's your next target, and flashes green when you fly through it cleanly. Miss the hole and the ring stays active — loop around and try again. Clip the terrain and you'll take a 5-second penalty before respawning near your last ring. Beat your best time and set a new personal record.
How to Play 3D Arcade Flight
- Press ↑ / W to pull up (nose rises) and ↓ / S to push down (nose dips).
- Press ← / A to bank left and → / D to bank right. Banking causes a coordinated turn — hold the bank to keep turning.
- Release controls to auto-level. The aircraft gently returns to level flight on its own.
- Hold Shift for a speed boost. Useful for long straight sections between rings.
- The active ring glows cyan and shows a direction arrow + distance in the HUD. Fly through the hole cleanly to advance.
- If you crash into the terrain, you take a 5-second time penalty and respawn near your last ring.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I turn around if I overshoot a ring?
Bank hard in either direction and hold it — the coordinated turn will bring you around. Full bank gives you about a 400-unit turning radius at base speed, so give yourself enough altitude to manoeuvre.
Do I have to fly through rings in order?
Yes — only the active ring (glowing cyan) counts. Future rings glow gold, and passed rings glow green. Fly through the cyan ring to advance to the next one.
Is my best time saved?
Yes — your personal best is saved in your browser's local storage and displayed in the top-right corner during and after each run.
What happens at the ceiling?
There is no hard ceiling, but the terrain is at y=0. Keep your altitude above 10 m to avoid the pull-up warning — crashing into the ground costs 5 seconds.
Can I play on mobile?
This game requires keyboard input — arrow keys or WASD for pitch and bank, and Shift held for boost. Sustained key holds are needed to complete coordinated turns through the ring course. Best played on a desktop or laptop.
