About 3D Fishing

3D Fishing drops you onto a sunlit wooden dock overlooking a peaceful procedural lake. The water ripples gently beneath a warm sky, lily pads float nearby, and small fish can be spotted drifting beneath the surface. Your goal is simple: keep casting and see how much total weight you can land in a session.

Hold SPACE to charge your cast — the longer you hold, the farther the line flies. When the bobber settles on the water, watch it carefully. After a few seconds a fish will investigate; when the bobber dips, press SPACE quickly to set the hook. Then comes the reel-in mini-game: hold SPACE to pull the fish in, but release when the tension bar climbs too high or the line will snap. Keep the indicator in the green zone and you'll land your catch.

Four species await: Bluegill are common and easy to land; Bass put up a steady fight; Trout are rare and feisty; and Trophy Catfish are the legendary prize — catch one and you'll hear a full fanfare. There's no timer and no game over — just pure relaxing angling whenever you need a moment of calm.

How to Play 3D Fishing

  1. Hold SPACE to charge the power meter — release to cast. A longer hold sends the bobber farther out.
  2. Watch the bobber float on the water. A random fish will bite within a few seconds.
  3. When the bobber dips below the surface, press SPACE quickly (you have about 1.5 seconds) to set the hook.
  4. Hold SPACE to reel in the fish. Watch the tension bar at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Keep the tension indicator inside the green zone. If it goes too high the line snaps; too low and the fish escapes.
  6. Land the fish and see your catch — species and weight are shown, and your total score updates.
  7. There is no timer — fish at your own pace and try to beat your personal best total weight.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did the line snap?

The tension bar exceeded the red zone. When the fish is fighting hard, release SPACE to let it run — tension will drop back into the green zone before you reel again.

Why did the fish get away?

If you let go of SPACE for too long the fish escapes — tension drops to zero and the fish swims off. Keep some pressure on the line by tapping SPACE rhythmically when needed.

What are all the fish species?

Bluegill (common, 0.2–0.8 lbs), Bass (common, 1–3 lbs), Trout (rare, 2–5 lbs), and Trophy Catfish (very rare, 5–15 lbs). Rarer fish are harder to reel in but score much more.

Is my score saved?

Yes — your personal best total weight for a session is saved in browser local storage and shown each time you play.

Can I play on mobile?

Yes — tap and hold the CAST button at the bottom to charge your cast, release to throw, and tap CAST again to reel in once the fish bites.
